![]() ![]() I hope you find these workflows useful as you continue to validate and improve the performance of your designs. In September of 2017, Fusion 360 Ultimate users gained the ability to use a whole new workflow and workspace to simplify and create variations of their models for analyses. ![]() ![]() To see a preview of this process, see the video below, where we use Autodesk CFD with an example: Use Fusion 360 to Simplify Models for Autodesk CFD. With active Moldflow and CFD subscription users gaining free access to Fusion 360, this workflow will help enhance their options for not only simplification, but also be able to embrace the full power behind Fusion 360 Ultimate. To make the process of moving from this simplification workspace to Moldflow/CFD, we’ve incorporated simple buttons to push the design changes to not only new analyses, but also existing. This process proved to be so valuable, that we’ve begun opening this workflow up to some of our specialized simulation tools, like Moldflow and CFD. This new functionality was groundbreaking, in that it enabled them to tackle not only the tedious defeaturing process quickly with specific functionality aimed at this process, but also that it opened up exploration of design free from the design constraints. In September of 2017, Fusion 360 Ultimate users gained the ability to use a whole new workflow – and workspace – to simplify and create variations of their models for analyses. ![]()
